Since Startup Weekend’s inception in 2008 by Techstars, the programme has grown into a worldwide phenomenon. Easy Taxi was developed at a Startup Weekend in Rio de Janeiro back in 2011.

They’re available in over 15 markets, the app has received more than two million downloads and built a network of over 60,000 drivers.
Columbia ‘11
Zapier’s team originally pitched their concept at a Startup Weekend in Columbia, Missouri in 2011.

They’re still continuing strong today with a 100% distributed team of over 250 people in over 24 countries.
Singapore ‘12
Carousell was originally conceived at a Startup Weekend in Singapore in 2012.

They’ve raised over $180 million USD in funding, and have become one of the most influential marketplace platforms in Asia.
